The OP is Good, AM I willing to Follow

Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 2:14, 16-17; 1 Kings 3:9

14God picked you out as his from the very start. Think of it: included in God’s original plan of salvation by the bond of faith in the living truth. This is the life of the Spirit he invited you to through the Message we delivered, in which you get in on the glory of our Master, Jesus Christ.

16-17May Jesus himself and God our Father, who reached out in love and surprised you with gifts of unending help and confidence, put a fresh heart in you, invigorate your work, enliven your speech.

1 Kings 3:9

9 “Here’s what I want: Give me a God-listening heart so I can lead your people well, discerning the difference between good and evil. For who on their own is capable of leading your glorious people?”

Observation(s): G-d loves us immensely.  He picked us from the beginning not just because of Plan B, but because of the HS indwelling and His word that we get a picture of who He is.  May we be given a heart, and tongue that is filled to multiply our work to reach out those who do not know Him and.  In turn in 1 Kings may I have a heart that is listening and know the difference between good and evil.

Application(s): Do I recognize that G-d calls me? Do I accept His gifts? Am I willing to open myself to His leading? Do I have a G-d listening heart so that I might see good and evil and be discerning?

Prayer: Lord, I have strayed time and time again from you because of my self-centered ways.  I feel so unworthy, but you have called me from the beginning.  As you recorded in Jeremiah you knew me before you shaped me in the womb you had a plan for me.  Give me your Spirit, allow me to be your vessel.  Give me your heart.  Open my eyes and ears so that I lead your “people” my family, friends to You.
